This month I’m going to be sharing what there is to know about green and how green can help you. Colour generally is very emotive and can evoke positive emotions as well as negative ones. What do you feel when you look at this? Concentrate on the colour green within the image.
Green Energy in Medicine
So let’s look at green. Green is the colour of balance. It’s in the middle of the colour spectrum and in the middle of the chakra system. And yet, are you in balance? Are you happy in your life, happy with your lot? Are your relationships fulfilling to you in all ways? If not, where are the difficulties? Think along the lines of whether you’re emotionally happy and content, or are the more negative emotions a bigger part of your life than you would like? How about your world of thoughts? Those unhelpful repetitive thoughts, those worrying thoughts, and especially those dark, sometimes forceful thoughts can be very damaging, even destructive. Is this the world your mind lives in? And what about your belief systems; are they yours or have you been influenced by others, perhaps familial or organisational beliefs that you’ve carried around with you, but never examined? Have others tried to influence you as they want you to be more like them?
How do you see your life in say five years’ time if nothing changes? Are you happy with that vision, or would you prefer a different one? The one thing to remember is that the only person you can change is yourself. You are responsible for your emotions, your thoughts and your beliefs. Changing them is up to you, although it doesn’t mean you have to do it on your own, or all at once. When people talk about clearing energies, this is what is meant by this, allowing things you no longer want or need to be transmuted into something else, something more uplifting and more in line with who you want to be now, not who you were five years ago, ten or twenty years ago. To make substantial changes, we often need to work with others to achieve this.
What about your work life? Are you doing a job or work that you love and enjoy doing, or not? Are you doing something because others felt that role was right for you? Or Is it something more fundamental, something that ensures a necessary income. Perhaps training is required for your desired role, but there’s a question of time and money to achieve that. Maybe you are quite high up in your working world and the thought of starting again scares you on many levels.
I worked for many years in the corporate world. I was an Executive Assistant and very good at my job, one aspect being my organisational skills that in some ways are second nature to me. I have a great deal of Virgo energy within my birth chart, which shined in that kind of environment. But it was never something I really wanted to do. I fell into the work on leaving school, and spent quite some time in my head, trying to get out of it, without really knowing what else to do. I then found healing, and slowly but surely, it became a possibility to do something other than office work. In my case, things were put in my path to help me on my way, to move into the life I really wanted. There are always signs, you just have to be aware of them.
Please also be aware of any chronic physical distress you may be experiencing. This is the body’s way of telling you loud and clear that something is out of balance. Our thoughts and emotions have an effect on the body, but also our diet. There are certain food groups that can cause problems for some people. It’s difficult to fathom at times, especially when we understand that something like tomatoes which have known positive health benefits, can in some people cause issues, especially for those with autoimmune diseases. A qualified nutritionist can help in these areas.
One of the best ways to incorporate green into your world is to be out in nature. If you’re close to a forest, that’s perfect. I’ve been very lucky in my life and grew up just five minutes’ walk from Epping Forest on the borders of Greater London and Essex. And now I’m very close to Grovely Wood in Wiltshire. If you’re not close to a forest, spending time in your garden or a local park will be just as beneficial.
